Redress Design Award Collection

Jayana’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘First-Cut’, addresses post-industrial suiting fabric waste, often discarded due to irregular sizes or defects. Inspired by its existing joineries and varying tones, she creates timeless over-garments with panel stitching and pattern-making that aligns panel sizes, minimising off-cuts. The collection adopts greyscale instead of a fixed colour palette to ensure consistency despite material variations. Designing for longevity, Jayana makes use of classic silhouettes, durable materials, and quality finishing.
