Redress Design Award Collection

Aya’s Redress Design Award collection, ‘Re-verie’, draws inspiration from the raw energy of the streets and the lost fabrics waiting to be rediscovered, combined with early 2000s glamour, kitsch, and culture. Designing for low impact, she reconstructs defective and unusable leather garments into new looks using a patchwork technique. A bodysuit is made from deadstock polka dot lace fabric end-of-roll sourced from an atelier. Aya also creates looks from high-quality upholstery fabrics sourced from discarded commercial fabric samples, designing for longevity via durable materials.
